Alicia Marino, PhD

Alicia earned her PhD from Wesleyan University in 2017. The focus of her research is in number theory, particularly in the arithmetic theory of quadratic forms. She is a Project NExT fellow (Blue ‘17) and is a promoter of active learning in the math classroom.

Alicia enjoys solving puzzles outside of the classroom, typically in the form of crosswords, cryptograms, and most recently, bouldering. She has two cats, Lenore and Jen, both of whom love math as well. Alicia is also a passionate advocate for various farm animal sanctuaries.
