Academic Advising

Each student in the College of Arts and Sciences is assigned an academic advisor.

Advisors help students understand their academic strengths and weaknesses, plan course schedules, set goals, and use resources and the support services of the University. In most cases, if the students stays in the major, the academic advisor will remain the same for all four years of undergraduate education, starting with the Dialogue Program.

Some Quotes of appreciation from Students:

  • "Thank you for taking the time to help me with my decision. I am greatly appreciative."

  • "Thank you so much for writing me a letter of recommendation. Your help and mentorship has meant so much to me over the past few years."

  • "You're always so responsive to my needs as a student and have appreciated being able to work with you so closely for the past three years."
