Do you need help with a subject or a paper? The University's centralized Tutoring Center offers free peer-to-peer tutoring and writing assistance.
We partner with the first-year academic advisors and coaches in the new Center for Student Success to get you the help you need.
Our office includes 80 exemplary undergraduate and graduate tutors, who tutor in writing, biology, chemistry, math, physics, social sciences, engineering, business, foreign languages, and the performing arts, and more. Our tutors go through special training, including topics like tutorial dynamics, tutor rights and responsibilities, as well as department and institutional polices. They are also informed about mental health issues and athletic compliance guidelines.
Every semester, our tutors complete more than 1,300 tutoring sessions in 50+ different courses.

We also provide individualized assistance to anyone in the University community who wants to develop efficient strategies for reading, writing, and studying. Professional and peer consultants help with writing issues such as generating ideas for papers, writing research papers, and organizing and editing drafts. They also teach flexible and effective strategies for managing time, taking notes, reading, and preparing for exams.
