About the Speaker

Ed Kroll joined Centene Corporation as senior vice president of Finance & Investor Relations in May 2007. Kroll manages the company’s relationships and interactions with the Wall Street community and acts as its chief spokesperson to investors and analysts. He splits his time between the company’s New York and St. Louis offices. In addition, he is a current board member of the St. Louis chapter of NIRI (National Investor Relations Institute) for which he also has served as chapter president.

Prior to joining Centene, Kroll spent nearly 17 years on Wall Street as a health care services research analyst, most recently as a managing director at Cowen and Company LLC, where he worked for nearly 10 years. Before that, he worked at Lehman Brothers for about five years. Kroll’s research coverage focused on the managed care industry and included Centene’s stock, which he followed from the time of its 2001 IPO. Kroll was a member of both the Institutional Investor and Wall Street Journal all-star analyst teams and has made numerous appearances over the years on Bloomberg TV, PBS, and CNBC. 

Kroll received his MBA in finance from Indiana University and a BA in economics from Rutgers. Prior to business school, Kroll worked as a CPA for Grant Thornton.
