International Business

In today’s fast-pace environment it is common to find working professionals traveling abroad representing their institutions in global affairs.  This certificate allows for those who want to broaden their horizon to delve deeper in functional areas, visit foreign countries or create a unique experience by mastering an international topic as an independent study.

Students who have a graduate business degree from an accredited institution can apply to attend the Barney School of Business to earn a specialized certificate in International Business by completing four courses (12 credit hours).  Commonly offered courses include:

  • AC 650 International Accounting
  • EC 650 International Trade: Policy and Practice
  • FIN 650 International Finance
  • IB 610 Regional International Business (any country, but only one IB 610)
  • IB 980 Independent Study in International Business
  • MBA 705 Global Business Environment (if not taken as MBA student)
  • MKT 650 International Business Or approved International Business elective
