MBA Concentration in Business Analytics

Today’s technology produces huge volumes of data. Businesses everywhere are focusing on how to properly organize, evaluate and use data to solve problems and identify opportunities that give their organization a competitive advantage. Building analytic models, creating scenarios, and predicting future states are but some of the exciting intellectual activities you are exposed to in business analytics.

Students enrolled in the Barney School MBA program can earn a Business Analytics concentration by completing four courses (12 credit hours). The four courses will count toward the four elective course MBA requirement.  Students will complete:

  • AC 615 Financial Statement Analysis and Valuation
  • MKT 760 Marketing Analytics
  • QNT 720 Business Forecasting
  • QNT 730 Business Data Mining 

Each of the courses utilizes SAS Institute® software and tools. Upon completing these four courses, you will also earn a certificate in Business Analytics and Data Mining Using SAS® jointly offered by the Barney School of Business and the SAS® Institute
