International Business Concentration

In today’s fast-pace environment it is common to find working professionals traveling abroad representing their institutions in global affairs.  This concentration allows for those who want to broaden their horizon to delve deeper in functional areas, visit foreign countries or create a unique experience by mastering an international topic as an independent study.

Students enrolled in the Barney School MBA Program can earn an International Business Concentration by completing four graduate level courses (12 credit hours) consisting of two required courses and two electives.  Required courses are FIN 650 and MKT 650, plus two additional courses selected from these commonly offered courses:

Required:

  • FIN 650 - International Finance
  • MKT 650 - International Marketing

Electives:

  • AC 650 - International Accounting
  • EC 650 - International Trade: Theory and Practice
  • IB 610 - Regional International Business (any country, up to two IB610)
  • IB 980 - Independent Study in International Business (up to two)
  • Or approved International Business elective
