Senior Design Class Professional Mentor – University of Hartford

Provided the fall 2014 senior design class with an actual engineering problem (wastewater treatment plant and pump station improvement) and worked with the class on a weekly basis to encourage their progression through the design process

Guest Lecturer – University of Hartford (2014), University of Massachusetts (2008-2011, 2015), University of Connecticut (2008)

Presented to senior and graduate level classes related to the design process and development of engineering reports.

4-H Club Leader (2001-present)

Co-lead a multi-interest 4-H club, where we work with youth, facilitating learning about their project areas that include interstate exchange, dairy goats, photography, sewing, crafts, and science.

Instructor – Association for Facilities Engineering (1993-2004)

Traveled to various locations around the country once or twice a year to deliver environmental engineering review session for the Certified Plant Engineering review program.  These classes were typically 4 hours in length and covered environmental engineering and environmental and safety regulation review for facilities engineering professionals who were preparing to take a comprehensive certification examination.
