Biography

Dr. Bob Celmer is an alum of the University of Hartford, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with an Acoustics Concentration in 1978.  He went on to The Pennsylvania State University where he earned his Masters and Doctorate in Acoustics in 1980 and 1982, respectively. 

Since 1982 he has been at the Mechanical Engineering Department of the University of Hartford's College of Engineering, where he currently holds the rank of Professor.  He heads the Acoustics and Vibrations Laboratory at the College's Engineering Applications Center, and is the Director of the Acoustics program.

Dr. Celmer is a Registered Professional Engineer, a member of the education committees of ASEE, ASA, AES, INCE, ASME and has been inducted into Sigma Xi, Phi Kappa Phi, Pi Tau Sigma and Tau Beta Pi honor societies.
