Organizations, and Involvement Opportunities

Activities, engagement, and events help shape a complete experience on campus. UHart Hub is the portal for our student community to discover things to do, groups to join, and how to get involved.

The mission of the University of Hartford Boxing Club is to provide male and female students an opportunity to learn and compete in the sport of boxing. The goal of the club is to promote self-discipline, camaraderie, and service as well as athletic and academic excellence.

Why you should join this organization?
If you want to push your mind and body to the limit, this is the club for you.

The main goal of this club is to create an outlet for young male students who wish to play the sport of volleyball. We intend to provide an opportunity for male students that is not yet offered to them at the University of Hartford. Dame Time will allow any undergraduate male student who is interested to join.

The Esports program at the University of Hartford works with and develops exceptional students to succeed in today's constantly changing environment. The program is housed underneath the Athletics department. Stay engaged through an extensive structure that encourages and creates positive experiences, which ultimately provides an avenue toward your own personal growth and development throughout your college career.

The Green 707 Club seeks to design, build and modify an electric drag racing vehicle that has been converted from a gasoline-run vehicle. We aim to promote critical thinking and teamwork.

Further your knowledge in the topic of electrical vehicles and their impact on a sustainable world.

The Hartford Paintball Club will work toward its goal by coordinating a regular series of roundtable discussions of paintball, practicing as a team every weekend for upcoming tournaments and creating a mentorship program between first year students and graduating student leaders to provide the club longevity.

The mission of the Hartford Paintball Club shall be to foster development through the coordination of the sport of paintball and sportsmanship.

Hartford Powerlifting is a club team at the University of Hartford that competes in collegiate powerlifting events. Members train individually but compete collectively in competitions at the end of each semester. These competitions consist of three attempts at maximal weight on three different lifts: squat, bench press, and deadlift.

Our aim is to encourage students in the pursuit of physical strength and commitment to disciplined improvement.

Hartford Racing is a group of highly dedicated individuals who spend a significant amount of time during their school year designing, building, and racing a Formula SAE racecar.  Every year in May, a new racecar takes part in an international competition sanctioned by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE International).

Our sole purpose for this club is to give UHART students the opportunity to expand their swimming skills and to be able to use the pool to develop relationships with other students and create a second family at school. It brings people together for the love of the sport, and allows them to exercise in a non-competitive way. We are an inclusive group, welcoming male and female swimmers of a wide variety of levels.

The mission of this organization is to promote soccer within the University of Hartford for those that do not want to play at the D1 level. The goal of this club is to build teamwork, leadership skills, hard work, as well as athletic and academic success.

The mission of this organization is to give men at the university the opportunity to participate in the sport of rugby. Our goal is to promote hard work, perseverance and teamwork as well as athletic and academic excellence.

The mission and function of this organization is to create and harbor a competitive Ultimate club sports team registered with USA Ultimate or a similar governing body for the sport of Ultimate in the Open and Mixed divisions.

Why you should join this organization?
Our top priority will be to compete in intercollegiate and /or club tournaments, during both semesters, such as but not limited to; High Tide, College Conference Championships, Lemony Fresh and Club Mixed Sectionals.

The purpose of the Outdoors and Adventure club is to provide students with opportunities to discover new hobbies that involve outdoor activities, spread a general respect for nature, and promote environmental conservation.

The purpose of this organization is to create a competitive and fun atmosphere for students of all athletic abilities to participate in.


This club has two main priorities;

  • Promote the fastest growing sport in America.
  • Educate and teach students interested in learning how to play.

The Ping Pong Club is a place to appreciate and practice the sport of table tennis. By joining this organization, members will be able to meet with like-minded individuals to play with, as well as learn the basics and professional techniques.

Join the University of Hartford Running Club for laps around campus, off-campus fun runs, and local 5k races. All paces and walkers are welcome!

re you interested in playing club soccer on campus? The UHart Women’s Club Soccer team, also known as the Red Hawks, is one of many athletic club teams on campus.

Why you should join this organization?
The team provides opportunities for soccer players with varying levels of experience to stay in shape and to create long-lasting friendships.

The mission of this organization is to give women at the university the opportunity to participate in the sport of rugby. Our goal is to promote hard work, perseverance and teamwork as well as athletic and academic excellence. The UHart lady ruggers are two-time runner-up finalists.

Why you should join this organization?
UHart Women’s Rugby is a Division III sports club open to all female students—no experience necessary. Rugby‘s official season is during the fall (September–November; all depending on team standing), with a small spring season and tournaments (February–April).

Our mission to provide an opportunity for new and experienced Ultimate Frisbee players to learn and enjoy the game. We work to promote to sportsmanship and competitiveness in our members. Over the year we compete in many regional tournaments around New England and local scrimmages.

We are a women's club team who meets to learn and play the game of Ultimate Frisbee!

Athletic clubs

The University of Hartford offers a wide range of sports-related activities including soccer, flag football, softball, and volleyball. Take a break from academic work to meet new friends, compete in a friendly atmosphere, and stay healthy.

Women's Ultimate Frisbee

In October 2019, the Women's Ultimate Frisbee team competed in the Lobster Pot Tournament in South Portland, Maine with over 100 universities represented. The team played a total of 7 games, winning 4 games, and accomplishing their goal of beating their original bracket place. The team was ranked at 12th entering the tournament but placed 9th out of the 20 teams present.

All the girls were excited and proud to represent the University of Hartford in such a large tournament," says Yavana Ganesh '20 a chemistry and politics and government major in the College of Arts and Sciences.
