The Student Club

In September 2014, a student club, TEDxUniversityofHartford, was established. The core TEDx Student Club team currently consists of:

  • Dr. Eoin King TEDx Club Faculty Advisor
  • Jonathan Cochrane TEDx Club President
  • Allison Cote TEDx Club Vice President

The hope for TEDxUniversityofHartford is that it becomes a local forum for ideas within that will inspire people to change their lives, their futures, and, ultimately, their world. We believe it will also be an opportunity to showcase the great work being done at the University as all presenters will be faculty, students, or alumni. Our Club Mission Statement is:

The purpose of TEDxUniversityofHartford is to encourage and support cross-campus collaboration between students by means of creating an independently organized TED event to showcase members of the University of Hartford community. We hope to get students involved in the University of Hartford community while expanding their education beyond what they would normally experience in their respective curriculum and encourage them to think critically on contemporary issues.
