Teaching Focus: Prokop teaches courses in the undergraduate curriculum, including a functional anatomy course in the senior year. Her clinical expertise is in pediatric sports medicine, which she shares with students in courses on orthopedic pathology and musculoskeletal examination and treatment of the extremities and spine for graduate students in the physical therapy program. Prokop strives to create opportunities for students to develop strong content knowledge as well as effective clinical reasoning skills. 

Professional Interests: Prokop’s research agenda focuses on investigating the impact of metacognition and self-regulated learning on the development of clinical reasoning in physical therapy students. Clinical research interests include injury prevention in the throwing athlete.
