Amy Manfredi graduated in the first class of The Hartt School Dance Division in 1998 and holds a BFA in Dance Performance from The Hartt School and a Masters of Education in Early Childhood Education from the College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions at the University of Hartford.
She obtained her dance training from Connecticut Ballet Theatre School, School of the Hartford Ballet and North Carolina School of the Arts and has danced professionally with the Hartford Ballet Company and Dance Connecticut under the direction of Enid Lynn and Peggy Lyman Hayes. She has had the privilege to learn from artists such as Franco De Vita, Jean Grand-Maître, Melissa Hayden, Peggy Lyman Hayes, Alla Osipenko, Kirk Peterson and Maria Youskevitch.
In 2000 Amy was invited to join the administrative staff of The Hartt School Dance Division by Peggy Lyman Hayes, and became an adjunct faculty member in 2005. In addition to teaching Dance Pedagogy, in 2012 she developed an after school program in dance at the University of Hartford Magnet School where she mentors Pedagogy majors in their student teaching internships. Amy is the dance advisor for the Hartt Community Division’s Prism Project.
Ms. Manfredi is the recipient of the 2010 Outstanding Staff Member Award and the 2016 Academic Affairs Staff Excellence Award.
