University of Hartford Connections

The Entrepreneurial Center works with the University of Hartford's academic and professional community to bring more opporttunities to both university students and local small business owners.

At the Barney School of Business, you begin building toward a career in your freshman year.
The Entrepreneurial  Center is proud to be part of the nationally-renowned Barney School of Business and to support its mission to grow competent, confident, and connected professionals and leaders who are globally aware and socially responsible.

The Center staff and clients interact with Barney faculty and students on many levels, each sharing their knowledge and skills. The Center provides internships to Barney business students, offering them valuable experience in the small business community. Barney faculty members bring their expertise to various Center programs.

In Barney entrepreneurial classes and programs, Center staff present to students; judge business plan competitions; and participate in a joint year-long project to connect women-owned businesses with female entrepreneurial students. Clients of the Center are invited to Barney programs and lectures, and the University community is welcome at all of the Center’s programs and services as well.
