TD Bank Business Leadership Series

The Center hosts TD Bank's Business Leadership series in cooperation with the University's Alumni Office. Held in fall and spring, the workshops address issues of interest to entrepreneurs and alumni in their professional development and growth. Topics include: professional image, ethics, organizational diversity, strategies for change, and many more. Workshops are led primarily by Barney faculty; presenters also include University staff, alumni and small business consultants.

Perfect Storm Leadership

Hear the little-known, behind-the-scenes story of the dramatic Coast Guard rescue of a downed Air National Guard Helicopter during the “Perfect Storm” in 1991. The speaker shares a light-hearted but compelling story about how leadership skills helped him survive the wrath of Mother Nature, during what has been described as the “Storm of the Century”. Get inspired by this amazing personal and professional journey, as the “Leadership Lessons” learned that fateful night on the bow of the TAMAROA are tied together with similar techniques to be used in the everyday corporate working environment.
