Graduate Admission

We offer three low-residency Master of Fine Arts degrees:

The illustration program is designed specifically to meet the needs of practicing illustrators who maintain active, full-time professional careers. The independent, tutorial-based program structure requires two and one-third years to complete.

Our innovative program is designed for both mature individuals with established experience in the field and recent graduates who wish to further their practices. It differentiates itself from other programs by coupling intensive on-campus sessions in the summer with traveling spring and fall sessions. This model enhances our ability to be a truly international program—from our students, to faculty, to off-premise meeting destinations. The art world is situated within a global market and our program is designed to access and utilize this enriching perspective.

Interdisciplinary Art

The MFA in Interdisciplinary Art is dedicated to sustainable culture and built for the 21st century. With dynamic, cross-disciplinary coursework at sites throughout the Americas, the program prepares artists to engage with the most pressing issues of our time. Presenting a low-residency curriculum that includes ecology, urban studies, and the craft-to-code technology continuum, this MFA offers a high-impact education for artists from multiple disciplines.
