Koby Nelson Bio Pic

Koby Nelson is an engineer and musician who’s experience in the record industry spans multiple genres and settings. An alumnus of the Music Production Technology program at The Hartt School, he began his career in live location recording at Aurasonic, owned and run by Steve Remote. During his tenure at Aurasonic, he recorded a wide variety of artists and musical styles from classical, to jazz, folk, and rock. This brought him to intimate locations like the Blue Note Jazz Club in Manhattan, all the way up to large-scale outdoor festival venues like Newport Folk Festival. Later, he took an opportunity to serve as a full time recording engineer at House Of Loud recording studio in New Jersey. There he worked for producer David Bendeth, specializing in active rock. Koby worked closely with many bands from all over the world including Of Mice & Men, Tonight Alive, Beartooth, We Came As Romans, and Young Guns. As a vocalist himself, he especially enjoyed recording singers and is also credited as a background vocalist on several albums.
