HLM 611 Graduate Music History Review: Medieval and Renaissance Music

An intensive survey of the music of the Medieval and Renaissance periods. Topics include the origins of polyphony and the development of Mass, motet, and madrigal. (Course Fee listed is for matriculated graduate music education students.) Prerequisite: Graduate Music History Placement Test. Credit earned does not count toward any Hartt graduate degree
