Carolina Flores, DMA, is an Associate Professor of Music at Manchester Community College (MCC) in Connecticut, where she teaches Conducting, Diction, Piano Class, Private Piano, Music Ear-Training, Music Theory, Music History and Appreciation, and directs the MCC Chorale and the MCC Madrigal Singers. In addition to her position at MCC, she is the Director of Music and Choirmaster at St. Theresa R.C. Church in Trumbull, Conn., and the immediate past-president for the Connecticut chapter of the American Choral Directors Association (CT-ACDA). Flores was awarded the 2015 Excellence of Teaching Award at MCC.

A native of Spain, frequent lecturer, adjudicator, and clinician, Flores was an Artist Teacher at the University of Hartford's Hartt School until spring 2015, where she taught Choral Conducting, graduate Choral Literature, and served as an independent graduate study advisor and staff accompanist in the vocal department. She also has directed the Hartt Chorale, the Hartt Camerata, and the Hartt Chamber Singers on their tours in Spain (2004) and Italy (2014). The choir for this last tour was formed of the Hartt Tour Choir and members of the Manchester Community College Chorale. She has also led other choirs on tours of Austria and Italy.

Flores is an accomplished pianist having been awarded several prizes at international and national piano competitions. In New York she performed at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall, Cami Hall, Rockefeller Center, and has performed as concerto soloist with the Manhattan Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Sixten Ehrling. She has sung professionally with ProArte singers and has been a member of the Yale Camerata, and the Yale Pro Musica chamber choir, including while the choir was in residence at St. Paul's Cathedral, London (England).

She has held the position of assistant director and accompanist for the New Haven Chorale in Connecticut for four seasons, as well as being their guest conductor in 2012, and served as artistic director of the Pioneer Valley Cappella Choir in Northampton, Mass., from 2008-10. She previously directed the University Chorus at the University of Rhode Island and was the choir director at Notre Dame High School in West Haven, Conn.

Flores obtained degrees in music education and piano pedagogy at the Superior Conservatory of Music in Zaragoza and the Royal Superior Conservatory of Music in Madrid, respectively. In addition, she earned BM and MM degrees in piano performance at the Manhattan School of Music in New York, and a D.M.A. in choral conducting at the University of Hartford's Hartt School.
