Frank ViolaFrank Viola is a graduate of The Hartt School, where he earned a B. Mus. in Music Education cum laude. He has been an accompanist for the Hartt Suzuki Program since its inception and currently plays for the Performers Certificate Program. He has also played for the Vocal Honors Ensemble and Summer Musical Theatre Intensive. As a staff collaborative pianist, Viola regularly plays for recitals, concerts, group classes, master classes, and coachings. He is also a coach in the Chamber Music Program.

Outside of Hartt, Viola has accompanied at numerous Suzuki Institutes, workshops, SAA Conferences, and competitions, has played in the pit for many musicals, and has acted as substitute organist for a number of churches. He has toured with students in the United States, Europe, and Japan. Among the master classes Viola has played for include those led by Louise Behrend, Seymour Bernstein, Heidi Castleman, Chee-Yun, Edward Cumming, James Ehnes, Pamela Frank, Vadim Gluzman, Ani and Ida Kavafian, Katie Lansdale, Brian Lewis, Midori, Karen Ritscher, Rae Tattenbaum, Toshio Takahashi, Koji Toyoda, David Updegraff, Tom Wermuth, and members of the Emerson and Miami String Quartets. Viola currently holds the office of Secretary of the Board of Directors for the Suzuki Association of the Americas. He is also an IT consultant.
