Mi-Young Kim

Mi-Young Kim is a pianist, student, and accompanist of The Hartt School at The University of Hartford, including Primi Voci, one of the Connecticut Children’s Chorus ensembles. Kim strives to develop her musicianship through a study of piano repertoire and collaboration with other musicians. An experienced educator, she has taught piano to students in both the United States and South Korea. She received the Honorable Prize at the Haeum Piano Competition in 2013, and was “Young Artist” at the Korea Piano Society’s Nationwide Competition in 2003. She has a Bachelor’s degree and two Master’s degrees (Piano Performance and Music Education) from Chung-Ang University in South Korea. Recently, she earned a Graduate Professional Diploma from The Hartt School and is currently working on a Master’s degree, studying with Prof. David Westfall.
