Research Interests

  • Effects of dietary consumption on global water resources and climate change
  • Biochemical aspects of a primarily plant based diet (like the Mediterranean Diet model) in chronic disease prevention and treatment, as well as in quality of life and longevity.
  • Public health nutrition, especially in the realm of obesity.
