Requirements for the Concentration in Business Studies


Any five courses from the following, with accounting and economics required:

  • BAB 110  Introduction to Business
  • ACB 210  Financial Accounting
  • ECB 110  Principles of Economics (Macro)
  • QNB 130  Quantitative Applications for Business
  • QNB 230  Business Statistics
  • PHB 120  Ethics: Contemporary Moral Problems
One course from the following: 
  • HSB 155 Global History I
  • HSB 165 Global History II
  • HUB 200 Perspectives on Globalization

Eligibility
Any student in good standing may enroll in the Business Studies concentration. Students must achieve a 2.00 overall grade point average and a 2.00 grade point average for the five courses in the concentration for the associate's degree designation. Among the five courses of the concentration, students must complete one course in accounting and one course in economics. The concentration fulfills the specific requirements for entry into the University's bachelor's degree programs in business. For continuation in the bachelor's degree program, students must meet all grade point average requirements as set by the Barney School of Business.
