The University of Hartford's Center for Professional Development is hosting three free workshops this summer to help adults from Greater Hartford with their job searches. The series includes:
Effective Job Search Strategies - Tuesday, July 27, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Eleta Jones, Ph.D., LPC, associate director of the Center, will talk about strategies for conducting a successful job search including targeting, researching, networking and using the internet effectively. She will also share tips for succeeding in a difficult economic climate.
Strategies for Successful Interviewing - Tuesday, August 10, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Cathy McCloud, a career counselor at the Center, will discuss how to conduct an effective interview, how to prepare for and respond to interview questions, and types of questions to ask potential employer.
That Gets Noticed - Tuesday, August 24, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Ron Clinton, a career counselor at the Center, will talk about various resume formats that can be used to present information and qualifications, how to write an effective resume, and ways to make a resume stand out.
