Student Centers Graduate Assistant Selected as Entertainment Coordinator for the Association of College Unions International Region VIII 2018 Conference

Marissa Theriault, Graduate Assistant for Event & Marketing Services at the University of Hartford’s Student Centers, has been selected to serve as the Entertainment Coordinator for the Association of College Unions International’s (ACUI) Region VIII 2018 Conference Programming Team (CPT). She joins Student Centers Director, Charles Amerson, on the regional CPT. Amerson is the Host Coordinator of the conference to be held at the University in November. 

As the entertainment coordinator, Theriault is responsible for coordinating entertainment for the regional conference. Among her duties will include coordinating contracts, payments, communication, and volunteers. She will be working collaboratively with the University for logistics of entertainment and engaging and utilizing student and local talent.

This is Theriault’s first experience working with ACUI, and she is thrilled to have this opportunity. “I am very grateful to have been chosen for this position,” Theriault says. “Serving as the entertainment coordinator for Region VIII is an honor, and I look forward to all the ways it will prepare me for my future career path.” She is passionate about the field of student affairs, and aspires to one day hold a position in student activities.
