Alpha Xi Delta's Philanthropy


Autism Speaks is an autism advocacy organization in the United States that sponsors autism research and conducts awareness and outreach activities aimed at families, governments, and the public.

Alpha Xi Delta donates all the proceeds from our events to Autism Speaks. Various ways that the money is raised is by hosting a flag football tournament, a black dress auction, bake sales, grilling with the xi’s and xiesta. 


Football Frenxi is a flag football tournament that is held on the village lawn. Each chapter creates a team, the sororities verse each other while the fraternities verse one another.  Provided is drinks and a live DJ for the audience who attend to watch the event. The winning team from both the sororities and fratenrities gets a prize.

Xi auction is an event where each fraternity and males sports team provide two members to be auctioned off. Each member has a blurb that is read aloud to all the potential buyers and audience. They bidding begins at $1 and go up as each buyer bids for a date with the member. Provided is complimentary refreshments and a live DJ. The highest bidder wins a bag of goodies for the date and a date with the person being auctioned off.  



Grilling with the XI’S is a new event for Alpha Xi Delta. It is tailgate outside of the soccer game for all students and Greek life. The tailgate includes grilling hamburgers, hot dogs, and typical picnic snacks and drinks.


Alpha Xi Delta holds two or more bake sales a semester on campus to raise for money for Autism Speaks. Sold are homemade goods and lemonade. 


Axidol is an American Idol inspired competition. Anyone is allowed to participate in the competition. Typically, each chapter sends a member to perform on stage and sing a song. There is have a panel of judges and who choose the winner. The winner is given a prize and announced on stage.

Xiesta is a burrito-eating contest catered by Moe’s Southwest Grill. Each chapter provides volunteers to try and eat the burrito the fastest. While they are competing other members of the chapters are welcomed to a burrito buffet and beverages.
