Here are some updates from the Division of Student Success:

New Center for Student Success

We are building a new Center for Student Success (CSS), which will be located in the heart of campus, the Gengras Student Union. It is expected to be complete in October. In the meantime, you can find the CSS staff in several spaces on campus, with our main office being in the Computer Center on the second floor.

Our advisors will be spending time with their assigned colleges each week and sit at locations where students spend time on campus. You can identify them by their branded UHart laptops with a big H. Below is a list of the first-year advisors for each college.

Centralized Tutoring Center:

Our Center for Reading and Writing is expanding to become a centralized tutoring center, which will be temporarily located on the ground floor of the Harrison Libraries. Students can sign up for a tutor by going to the Center for Student Success, the Tutoring Center, or by logging into Compass.

Office of Student Engagement and Inclusion:

Our Campus Activities Team, multicultural programs, student government, and religious organizations, are now housed under the Office of Student Engagement and Inclusion to better serve our students. Learn more here.

We will share much more information in the days and weeks ahead so stay tuned! If you have questions, please feel free to contact us at css@hartford.edu.
