Horwitz Receives the Silver Award in Songwriting Contest

Michael Horwitz, Assistant Professor at Hillyer College, won the Silver Award in the Children's category of the 36th Annual Mid-Atlantic Song Contest sponsored by the Songwriters' Association of Washington for his song, Big on Your Bird. According to Jay Keating, President of SAW, "...with a record number of entries this year, the decisions were not easy and the competition from your peers made this decision harder than you know.
