We are proud to announce that our Women’s Business Center (WBC) has received additional financial support from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) through the CARES Act to expand assistance for small businesses as they survive, rebuild, and grow in the COVID economy. Milena Erwin, WBC Program Manager, says: “We are grateful for SBA's support, and the opportunity to provide additional direct and relevant services to small businesses at this time of crisis. WBC strives to be the go-to COVID-survival and recovery resource for women and minority small business owners in Greater Hartford and throughout Connecticut."

Driven by its strong mission, a small and dedicated staff, and the support of many clients and partners, the WBC has stepped up and pivoted operations to help Connecticut’s small businesses survive the current pandemic. After moving services 100% online in less than one week, WBC staff have assisted businesses with applying for private and public emergency funding opportunities at the federal, state, and local levels, while providing a full schedule of small business online training and advising services.
