Associate Professor Katharine Owens to Serve as President-Elect on Association for Environmental Studies and Sciences Board
Politics, Economics, and International Studies Department Associate Professor Katharine Owens was elected to serve as president-elect, then president, on the Association for Environmental Studies and Sciences (AESS) Board. The AESS is an independent faculty-and-student-based professional association in higher education, designed to serve the needs of environmental scholars and scientists who value interdisciplinary approaches to research, teaching, and problem-solving.
Owens says she's very excited and nowhere else does she see professionals working so hard to truly engage in interdisciplinary thought, research, teaching, and communication on environmental topics. Visit the AESS website for more information.
