Blackboard Annotate Introduction and Guidance on Use

Dear Faculty,

FCLD is pleased to announce Blackboard Annotate, Blackboard’s new online tool for grading student work. Blackboard Annotate is now available in your courses on Blackboard. Annotate replaces the tool-limited Box tool and was created in response to feedback from Blackboard instructors to offer a more robust feature set that enables instructors to provide customizable feedback to learners. It includes a sidebar summary view, freehand drawing tools, various color selections, and much more. Annotate provides a significant improvement over the old inline grading options.

Note for users of the Blackboard Instructor app: Blackboard Annotate works in the Blackboard Instructor app for grading assignments; however, students cannot view annotations in the Blackboard app and should access their graded assignment submissions through a web browser instead.
