ENHP's Assistant Professor of Health Sciences Colleen Muñoz was recently awarded additional funding from the Drinking Water Research Foundation (DWRF) to purchase a B·R·A·H·M·S KRYPTOR compact PLUS analyzer. The B·R·A·H·M·S KRYPTOR will aid Muñoz in her current project Machine Learning in Modeling the Elusive Daily Water Requirement funded by DWRF. Using TRACE technology, this new piece of equipment will enable Muñoz to examine the biomarkers of hydration in her sample group. An analysis of the data collected will inform the development of water intake recommendations. Muñoz plans to disseminate her research results by submitting her work to peer-reviewed journals and presenting at scientific conferences in the year ahead.
