Professor of Architecture Michael Crosbie in the College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture (CETA) recently wrote an essay entitled, “The Underappreciated Legacy of James Marston Fitch.” It is about about the work of pivotal architect and writer James Marston Fitch, the father of the preservation movement in the United States and very early champion of sustainable architecture. The essay was featured on Common Edge, a non-profit organization dedicated to reconnecting architecture and design with the public that it’s meant to serve.
