UHart Students Inducted into Lambda Epsilon Chi National Honor Society

On April 23, 2021, 11 students from the University of Hartford Paralegal Studies Program were inducted into the University of Hartford Chapter of Lambda Epsilon Chi (LEX), the National Honor Society for Paralegal Studies and Legal Studies students. LEX recognizes those individuals who have demonstrated superior academic performance.

To qualify for induction, each candidate must have completed two-thirds of their Paralegal Studies (LAH) courses: 31 credits for the bachelor’s degree; 16 credits for the associate degree, and 13 credits for the Certificate. Each candidate also must have attained an overall grade point average of at least 3.50 and a grade point average of at least 3.50 in their Paralegal Studies courses.

This year’s inductees are Kristen Lynn Byrd, Holly A. Dauber, Andrea Golino, Kathryn Gullen, Jennifer Hancock, Cyra Matthews Kampfmann, Christeena Mais, Ewelina Ostaszewska, John P. Pereira, Shamika Pottinger, and Amber Selner.

This year’s honorary inductee is Assistant Professor Beth Richards, Director of the University of Hartford’s First- and Second-Year Writing Program. Professor Richards is also a vital member of the Paralegal Studies Program’s Advisory Board.
