Vision Plan Enhancements

We are pleased to announce that our standalone vision care provider, United Healthcare, has added some new vision enhancements to their plan:

• Lenscrafters and 1-800 Contacts have been added to the network

• To help address increased exposure to blue light, UnitedHealthcare Vision has collaborated with Eyesafe® to provide members with a 20% discount off the retail price on blue-light screen filters for their devices. Members can purchase filters for their phone, tablet and laptops directly from Eyesafe Blue Light Screen Filters.   If prompted for a code to access the discount it is UHC.  Members can also visit myuhcvision.com for a link to the Eyesafe discount promotion.

• Enhanced vision benefits for maternity and pediatrics: Two eye exams are covered each plan year for mothers-to-be and children up to age 13. If their prescription changes 0.5 diopter or more, a new pair of eyeglasses are also covered. Copays apply.

• Lasik provider – QualSight: Members have access to discounts on laser vision correction procedures through our alliance with QualSight® LASIK. All QualSight LASIK surgeons offer members a discount of up to 35% off national pricing.
