New Part-Time Faculty Welcome on Aug. 18, 2021
Welcome to AY2021-22,
on behalf of the University of Hartford’s Office of the Provost, welcome to a new academic year! I am writing to share important information with you about the upcoming semester, both for part-time faculty new to the University of Hartford and for those who have taught here previously. While your department chair and department office coordinator will be your direct contacts here at the University, the Provost’s Officeiscommittedtosupportingyouinasmanywaysaspossible. Weappreciateandthankyouforyour vital contributions to our students and our community.
On Wednesday, Aug. 18, we will host the New Part-Time Faculty Welcome. This event provides a variety of trainings, workshops, and information sessions specifically geared to new part-time faculty (see below Schedule of Events). We will have representatives from various University departments on hand to help you complete required forms, get an University ID and parking pass, sign up with the 4-C’s part- time faculty union, and learn more about opportunities available to part-time faculty. You must wear a mask and observe social distancing protocols when possible while on campus.
New part-time faculty should bring the following with them to this event:

a copy of their executed contract

completed I-9 Form
-
two forms of ID (see attached I-9 Form for ID specifics)
