Join an Employee Affinity Network Today

October 07, 2021
Submitted By: Office of Diversity and Community Engagement

In an effort to further our commitment to inclusion and to foster a welcoming community, we invite staff and faculty to join one (or more) of the Employee Affinity Networks. The goals of the Affinity Networks are to:

  • build and create a sense of community
  • advocate for and support the recruitment, retention, and advancement of faculty and staff
  • create opportunities to network and collaborate
  • offer the opportunity to be an active contributor to campus life.
  • support respect and advancement for all
  • broaden cultural awareness
  • identify and/or develop opportunities for professional development

Employees can use these safe spaces to support, understand, and share resources and information to connect with University of Hartford communities while transcending colleges, units, and job classifications. Faculty/Staff Affinity Networks are fully supported by the Office of the President and are voluntary, employee-led groups that express the values of mutual understanding and shared community.
