Submitted By: Suzanne McNeil, Assistant Vice President, Student Success

Kenna Grant, Executive Director for Student Health and Well-Being, will leave the University after 20 years to pursue a position at the University of Connecticut as Health Program Manager within the Student Health Services division. Kenna began her career at the University in 2001, working in the Office of Residential Life as an Area Coordinator before moving over to run the Health Education and Wellness Center where she spent the next 13 years advocating and supporting both students and staff on areas of Health and Wellness. In 2019, she moved over to the Dean of Students Office and was promoted to Executive Director of Student Health and Well-Being. Regardless of the position, Kenna’s contributions to the University were endless. While serving in her multiple roles within the Division of Student Affairs, Kenna also served as an adjunct professor within the College of Arts and Sciences; and received multiple certificates, designations, and honors from various organizations in the areas of sexual assault violence prevent, trauma resilience, holistic life coaching, COVID-19 response, and threat assessment, to name a few.

All of Kenna's energy over the last 20 years has been put into bettering our community through engagement, interaction, and dedication to a place she calls “home." Kenna will be missed by all of us, but we send her away knowing how much of an impact she has had on so many here at the University.

In lieu of an in-person gathering, we invite you to share your farewell messages online via this link:
Farewell Wishes for Kenna Grant. We will create a storybook to give to Kenna so that her memories of her time her at the University of Hartford will stay present with her as she starts a new chapter of her life.
