Loving Sylvia Plath: Resisting The Martyr Narrative
Please come hear Professor Emily Van Duyne of Stockton University speak about the life and work of Sylvia Plath. Professor Van Duyne's talk will be titled: "Loving Sylvia Plath: Resisting The Martyr Narrative."
The talk will be on Wednesday, Nov. 3, at 1 p.m.
This will be an in-person event held in Mali 2 / Dana 202.
Emily Van Duyne is an Assistant Professor of Writing and First Year Studies at Stockton University. Her poems, reviews, and essays have appeared in The Rumpus, Harvard Review, and Entropy. She is also a contributing editor of the anthology The Precariat & The Professor, about contingency in higher education and recently received a Fulbright. Her critical memoir Loving Sylvia Plath is under contract with W.W. Norton & Co.
The talk will be followed by a Q&A.
