Hillyer College Associate Professor of Political Science Bilal Sekou is participating in Common Cause Connecticut’s virtual event about election reforms and voting freedoms in Connecticut and at the national level, Wednesday, Dec. 22 at 7 p.m. Sekou serves as chair of the organization’s advisory board and will take part in a discussion with Karen Hobert Flynn, president of Common Cause Connecticut.

With the 2022 local and state elections less than a year away, event attendees will hear why it’s important for 2021’s positive election reforms to remain and why federal legislation is needed to strengthen the freedom to vote so that all, regardless of political party, background, or where they live, have an equal say in the future for their family and community.
