Self-Service Banner 9 General Information Page Update
Banner Self-Service 9 (SSB9) general information page was launched on Jan. 3, 2022 with new features that are not available in Banner Self-Service 8 (SSB8). This page will allow faculty, staff and students to update a preferred first name, which will be visible in Self-Service, Compass, rosters and Blackboard for faculty, staff and students. Pronouns and gender identity will also be available for updating.
SSB9 allows most personal information to be updated on one page; however, employees will need to continue to contact HRD to update their payroll address.
Below are the directions to enter the new page and make any updates.
- Login to self-service
- Click on the “personal information tab”
- Click on View/Update Personal Information
- Login using your single-sign on, which is the same as your email information (if you’re not currently logged in to SSO).
- Click the Personal Information button from the landing page.
- To make any updates click on the “edit” or “add new” on the right side of each section.
- Once change is made, click update.
