Sally Wang has accepted a terrific offer to be the manager of digital marketing at Wesleyan University. She will lead the social media team and manage an integrated digital marketing strategy for the Communications team in collaboration with campus stakeholders. Sally joined our team from Dubai, UAE three years ago and she hit the ground running. She had previously worked for Dean Zeng during her graduate education at WPI and was instrumental in many of our international student recruitment plans. Sally has accomplished many Barney initiatives including developing formal strategic marketing plans for recruitment and yield efforts, the new website, and many digital advertising initiatives. Over the past two years, Sally has worked closely with Dean Mulready and expanded Barney’s digital footprint on social media. An increasing number of domestic and international students read about Barney’s success story on different digital channels and enrolled in their signature career-ready program. Sally has been a trusted resource to the Dean’s leadership team, the faculty & staff at Barney, and our team.

At the University, Sally has been very active in advocating DEI&J initiatives. She is a co-leader of I-SEE (International Scholarship, Education and Engagement) Affinity Network,. She has also been involved in a variety of service groups including Staff Council, Asian, Pacific Islander, Desi American (APIDA) Heritage Month Planning Committee, Women History Month Planning Committee, and DEI Lecture Series Committee.

Sally plans to take business forecasting as the last course towards her MBA certificate program in business analytics at UHart this fall. She is so grateful for spending three fruitful years with all the amazing people at UHart. Her last day will be Friday, Sept. 9. We will celebrate Sally and all of her many contributions with our Barney colleagues on Sept. 8 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Stanley Black & Decker Commons in Barney. Congratulations to Sally!
