Hartt Professor Publishes Conference Paper on Reconstituting Record Labels
Hartt Professor Marcus Thomas’ conference paper “To Form a More Perfect Union: Reconstituting the Business of Record Labels” was published in the Music and Entertainment Industry Educators Association (MEIEA) Summit Proceedings.
In the paper, Prof. Thomas applies principles contained in the preamble to the United States Constitution to examine ways in which modern music labels should adapt their business models to survive the technological and cultural revolutions American society is currently experiencing.
Professor Thomas developed the conference paper to support a lecture presentation he delivered during the 2022 MEIEA Summit in May.
