University-Wide Holiday Party Donations to Food Pantry
The annual University-wide holiday party, sponsored by Aramark, will be held on Thursday, December 15, at 3 p.m. in the Commons Dining Hall.
The location of the party has been changed for this year in order to offer several food station options and additional seating with more spacing.
Guests are encouraged to bring an item from the list below to donate to The Nosh—our on-campus food pantry. Each person bringing an item or items for the food pantry will receive one extra ticket for the drawing.
List of Items
Donations of any food that is “shelf-stable” or nonperishable that hasn’t reached its “sell-by” date yet:
- Cold Cereal
- Peanut butter
- Jelly
- Canned soup
- Canned fruit/applesauce
- Canned vegetables
- Canned stew
- Tuna and canned meats
- Canned beans
- Pasta (including whole grain)
- Rice (including brown rice)
- Rice mixes
- Soups (including vegetarian options)
- Granola bars and cookies
- Macaroni & Cheese
- Baked Beans (including vegetarian options)
Donations of personal care items are also accepted:
- Body wash
- Bar soap
- Lotion
- Razors
- Shaving cream
- Gel
- Hair removal lotion
- Deodorant
- Toothbrush
- Toothpaste
- Mouthwash
- Floss
- Shampoo
- Feminine hygiene items: Pads, tampons, etc.
- Household items: toilet tissue, flushable wipes, paper towels, laundry pods, laundry detergent, bleach, fabric softener, cleaning spray, cleaning wipes, etc.
