Employment at the Libraries

Student Employment

The libraries employ many students in a variety of positions, both work-study and non work-study. Many student positions require night and/or weekend hours. Proof of U.S. citizenship or immigration status is required for employment.

Mortensen Library

Mortensen employs students at their circulation and reference desks. To apply, fill out an application at the Mortensen circulation desk.

Allen Library

Allen employs students in both Public Services (helping patrons, shelving materials, etc.) and Technical Services (processing, cataloging, etc.). We accept applications year-round, and keep them on file in the event a position becomes available. Archives

The Archives employ a limited number of student assistants. Any available positions will be listed on Handshake, the University of Hartford's online student employment resource.
