For more than five decades, the University of Hartford athletics teams have been known by the nickname “Hawks.”
However, the Hawk symbol does not represent the University as a whole and must never be substituted for the official University of Hartford signature in non-athletics applications.
Use of the Hawk symbol is authorized only in applications restricted to the Department of Athletics, its marketing and promotional materials, athletics team uniforms, banners, and souvenirs.
