Staging
“Staging” is the minimum clear space surrounding the University signature. This space isolates the signature from other graphic elements in order to ensure optimum legibility. A more generous clear space surrounding the signature is encouraged where possible.
The proportional clear space is measured by the cap height of the “U” in the logotype applied to the outermost portion of the signature.
When the signature is used with a school or college name attached, the measurement of clear space should include the school or college.
These same proportional measurements and rules apply to both alternate versions as well.
Signature Staging – Placing a Logo Near the Signature
In situations where another logo is used in the same layout as the signature, please place them as far apart as possible. The minimum space any other logo or symbol can be placed near the signature is twice the height of the seal.
