Four Barney Professors Awarded Promotion and Tenure
The University Board of Regents Executive Committee recently voted to approve tenure and/or promotion for the following Barney faculty members.
Susan Machuga, promotion to professor; Andy (Wei) Hao, tenure and promotion to associate professor; Lillian Kamal, tenure and promotion to associate professor; Ke Yang, tenure and promotion to associate professor.

Barney is Ranked No. 2 in Insurance Company Hiring of Recent Grads
The Barney School is second among all U.S. colleges and universities in insurer hiring of 2012–13 graduates of undergraduate risk management and insurance programs. About the Barney School
The Barney School is located in West Hartford, CT, adjacent to the insurance and financial services centers in Hartford, CT. It is one of the 7 colleges within the University of Hartford, and it is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Barney offers undergraduate degrees in Accounting, Economic & Finance, Insurance & Finance, Management, Marketing, and Entrepreneurial Studies. An Actuarial Science minor is also offered. And the University has a Pre-Law advising program.
At the graduate level, Barney offers an MBA, a Masters in Accounting & Taxation, dual Masters in Business & Engineering, and post-graduate Certificates. The MBA courses can be taken totally online, totally in the classroom, or in any combination of both formats.
