The University of Hartford was founded by a group of Hartford business leaders in 1957, and though a private institution, has not strayed from its mission of being a valuable community resource for the greater Hartford region. We are pleased to welcome our neighbors to campus each April for this event.
New for 2008...we featured an extreme trampoline show, trolley ride to and tour of our new Mort and Irma Handel Performing Arts Center, Webster's Dictionary Marathon Relay kickoff, and a bike rodeo just in time for the spring and summer biking season. Attendees watched the premiere showing of the UHarriet project, a video/oral history of Hartford women’s social activism in the last half of the 20th century. Check our schedule for the complete list of the more than 50 events, exhibits, and attractions we brought to the Greater Hartford community.
Watch for our seventh annual Community Day in April 2009.
