Roosevelt Institution Conducting Fundraiser
Posted 12/12/2005
The University of Hartford chapter of the Roosevelt Institution is sponsoring a bottle drive fundraiser. The money raised will be used to fund operation of the new chapter on campus.
A drop off box has been placed in A-Complex (Andrews) for donated soda cans and bottles. The bottle drive will continue through the end of this semester.
The Roosevelt Institution, the nation’s first student-run think tank, is a non-profit organization that allows students’ ideas to be heard on various policy topics, such as the environment, women’s issues, energy, the Middle East, and the war in Iraq. The institution provides a forum for students' ideas to be published and heard by Congress and state legislators.
The University of Hartford chapter, organized this fall, meets Wednesday nights at 7 p.m in Gengras.
